Jesus has just told His disciples that they will receive power when the Holy Spirit falls upon them. And then, right before their eyes, He ascended into heaven. Up, up and away He goes into a cloud and the disciple keep staring into the sky, even after they can see Him no longer.
Next thing you know two men dressed in white are standing next to them and say (this is the part I love), “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
Now, I will paraphrase what these men said, “Guys, what are you doing standing around? Get busy, the Lord will be returning!”
How about it? Are you standing around waiting for something to happen or are you making something happen?
Ephesians 5:15 “Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity…”
